Annual Victoria D. de Sanchez
Northern Virginia Teacher of the Year Award

It is our distinct privilege to send you the announcement of our annual Victoria D. de Sanchez Northern Virginia Hispanic Teacher of the Year Award.  Mrs. Victoria D. de Sanchez was an educator whose work continues to serve as an inspiration.  In order to better understand the significant impact Mrs. Sanchez had on educators, youth and the communities, at large, have made her the choice as the honoree of this award.

The award will acknowledge a distinguished Hispanic classroom teacher who much like Mrs. de Sanchez, strives to improve the lives of children and their communities through education.  As Mrs. de Sanchez’s admirable efforts were rooted upon the high ideals of knowledge, extraordinary energy, absolute determination, and an exemplary dedication to the education of Hispanic children so too will be the nominees’ efforts and character.

This distinguished award will be presented this year on May 14, 2013 at the School of Education and Human Services Award Dinner ceremony on the Marymount University Campus in Arlington, Virginia. All nominee applications for this award must be received by April 15, 2013.
